A never ending story

Late July 2023 and the work moves on apace. The Aston Parish Church Memorial lisiting is complete, as is that for the 8th Royal Warwickshire Battalion, Aston Churchyard and the GEC Roll of Honour. Witton Cemetery listing will be posted in the next couple of days. Saltley College memorial is to follow.

The challenge for me is when do I stop? My aim is to identify as many men from Aston as I can who fell during the Great War, and then to do a much more detailed analysis than the listings can give. With other leads to follow up, more memorials to review, there will always be more information. I will need to make a decision as to when to do a Version 1 of the analysis, recognising that a version 2 is likely to follow later!
