Aston Parish Church
Since the 11th century, and most likely well before then, there has been a church on the site of Aston Parish Church (St Peter and St Paul), located on the north side of Birmingham. Aston was an important manor long before Birmingham was established, but Birmingham has long since subsumed Aston into its metropolis.

Church and Community

The Church has been a focal point for its community throughout its interesting history, and for those who wish to find out a little more, please visit astonnechellscofe.org.uk.

Given its focus on community, it is not surprising that the Parochial Church Council has given its endorsement to finding out more about the men whose names are on the World War 1 Memorial located within the church walls. The project researcher has worked closely with members of the PCC to complete the work and to ensure that it fulfils any requirements they may have.
